Three dead in mass stabbing at Japanese bus stop
Three people have died in a mass stabbing at a bus stop in Kawasaki City, Japan just before 8:00 am on Tuesday (local time).
The victims are a primary school aged girl and a man in his 30s, as well as the middle-aged attacker, who is believed to have taken his own life.
More than a dozen people were injured, with two taken to hospital in critical condition. At least eight of the victims were primary school students from a Catholic girls school, and seven were adults.
National broadcaster NHK reported the attacker began slashing at people waiting at the bus stop. More victims were found in a nearby park, as were two knives.
