Serial killer Ivan Milat transfered to Sydney hospital

Convicted serial killer Ivan Milat has been transfered from the supermax Goulburn Correctional Centre to undergo diagnostic tests at Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, the Department of Corrective Services confirmed on Tuesday evening.

The 74-year-old is being housed in a secure annex and is expected to return to Goulburn in the coming days as his condition is not deemed life-threatening.

“We’ve made very strong security arrangements for that, we’ve got specialist teams to ensure that at any time there is absolute guarantee of safety and security,” NSW Corrective Services Commissioner Peter Severin told Seven News.

Australia’s most notorious serial killer, Milat is serving multiple life sentences for murdering seven people, including five foreign backpackers.
