Three bodies impaled with crossbow bolts found in German hotel
Three bodies were found impaled with crossbow bolts in a hotel room in Germany on Saturday (local time).
A maid on cleaning duties at the hotel in Passau, Bavaria, found the bodies and two crossbows in the room.
The victims were a 53-year-old-man and two women aged 33 and 30, all German citizens. The relationship between the guests has not yet been established, but the 30-year-old woman was from Lower Saxony and the other two from Rhineland-Palatinate.
Prosecutors have ordered an autopsy as police investigate what happened inside the hotel room and how exactly the three died.
The guests checked into the hotel the day before their bodies were located, and had planned to stay for three nights.
Police have said there are no initial indications that anyone else was involved in the deaths.
